FAIRFIELD — Police said a Naugatuck man caused a disturbance at a local liquor store and threatened the manager.
Thomas Arsenault, 23, of School Street, went into Harry’s Wines and Liquor on the Post Road around 8 p.m. Saturday, May 13. He was with a group of friends that kept coming in and out of the store, yelling and swearing. The manager said he would not sell them any alcohol because they appeared to be intoxicated.
The group left and the manager then received a phone call on the store’s business line. The man who called threatened and cursed at him. Officers traced the phone call to Arsenault, who agreed to meet outside a strip club on Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport. He refused to identify any of the friends that were with him.
Arsenault was charged with breach of peace and released on a promise to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport on May 25.
