Band Together is an ever-evolving assemblage of area musicians who gather periodically to raise money for charity.

On Thusday night, Feb. 16, the venue was the Fairfield Theatre Company's intimate StageOne and the beneficiary was the Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

The group was founded by Rob Fried and Jerry Vigorito, and last week's show sold out.

Band Together bills itself as a "melting pot" of rock, soul and funk. Joining Fried and Virorito on stage were were Nicole Frechette, Billy Genaurio, Mike Cusato, Tara Engler, Paula Gallo, Scott White, John Lamb, Pat Williams and Mike Nappi.

The state chapter of the Alzheimer's Association provides support to families and caregivers through five offices in Connecticut.

The nonprofit's services include a 24-hour, multilingual helpline, family-training seminars, care consultation, support groups and educational programs for healthcare professionals and caregivers.
