A patron of the Old Post Tavern restaurant called police Tuesday to report that she had failed to pay her tab at the bar Monday night, but left without her credit card.

On Tuesday, she said discovered her credit card had been used by one of the bartenders to fill up his car with gasoline.

The bartender told police it had been a very busy night and he had by carrying several credit cards in his pocket -- the woman's car inadvertently among them. When he went to get gas, he said, he used the wrong credit card.

Restitution of the gas charge was made and no police action was taken, according to the report.
