Plans are afoot to address concerns of bicyclists and pedestrians in Fairfield.

A public forum is planned April 14 by the Fairfield Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Advisory Committee on issues related to traversing the town's highways, byways and sidewalks. The event is set for 6:30 p.m. in Osborn Hill School, 760 Stillson Road. It gets under way with an informal reception with committee members, followed by a presentation at 7 p.m.

Information covered will include the town's 2010 bicycle/pedestrian survey, as well as the town's sidewalk inventory and the bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure.

The committee wants to identify streets and areas of concern, possible bike routes, bike lanes and sidewalks and places for bike racks and other facilities in town.
