The fourth annual Bowling Against Bullying will take place Friday, June 6, at Nutmeg Bowl, 802 Villa Ave., Fairfield. The event benefits the Center for Family Justice.

"Bullying is a very important issue, and the earlier kids understand how harmful it is, the better," said Carly Yearsley, the event's chairwoman. "This event is just one way to help spread the word that bullying must stop."

The Center for Family Justice works to prevent domestic and sexual violence and child abuse.

The event costs $40 per person for two games, shoe rental, pizza and soda. Check-in is at 6 p.m. and bowling begins at 6:30.
