CVS pharmacy robbed of money, drugs
A man, claiming to be armed, robbed the CVS at 1975 Black Rock Turnpike of cash and drugs Saturday.
The suspect entered the store around 6:55 p.m. Saturday and told a supervisor that he was at the store with another man and that both were armed. He had the store employee bring him to the back office and ordered her to open the safe and put cash and checks into a CVS bag. Then he ordered her to go behind the pharmacy area, where he had her fill a bag with oxycodone and roxycodone.
No weapon was shown and no one was injured, according to the report. It is unlikely there was a second man with the suspect, police said.
The man is described as short, wearing a black sweatshirt and a camouflage hat.
The incident remains under investigation.
