Two drivers for Yellow Cab were arrested early Monday after they got into a fight in the parking lot of the Athena Diner, 3350 Post Road, police said.

Kendrick Bryant, 44, of Mills Street in Hamden, said he was in the parking lot around 2 a.m., waiting for a fare who was eating in the diner, when Stephen Rose, a fellow cabbie, pulled in.

Bryant told police that Rose, 40, of Cogswell Avenue in Bridgeport, approached him and began swearing at him, before sucker punching him in the left eye.

At that point, the men began fighting, according to the report, and Bryant said when they fell to the ground, he choked Rose until he stopped the fisticuffs.

Both were issued infractions for creating a public disturbance.
