The 45-voice St. Paul's Episcopal Church Choir has planned an English-style tea and Anglican Evensong performance for Sunday, Oct. 21, to help raise money for an overseas tour planned in 2015.
Tea will be served at 4 p.m. in the church's parish hall, and the performance of the evening-prayer service will follow at 5 in the 661 Old Post Road church, the choir said.
Free-will donations will be accepted to put toward a summer concert tour of England planned in 2015.
The evening prayer service combines boy and girl trebles with adult altos, tenors and basses. St. Paul's music director John Abdenour will direct the choir, with Joseph Ripka providing accompaniment on the church's pipe organ.
The choir has toured England four times, sung at Carnegie Hall twice, and appeared in major Episcopal churches in New York City and Philadelphia.
