Anama Cara, Christian Center for Spiritual Life, will hold a "Blue Christmas: Managing the Holidays" service at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, in St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 4670 Congress St.

The service provides an opportunity for those who are grieving, lonely, struggling with addiction or otherwise hurting to be with others who may feel similarly during the holiday season, according to a release.

Folk rock singer Elaine Romanelli will perform during the service. Celebrant will be the Rev. Malinda Johnson, the center's associate director.

Anyone wishing to sing in the choir should meet at the church at 3:20 p.m.

Call the Rev. Alice Mindrum, the center's director, at 203-526-4886 for information.
