'Circuit-bending' pianist to perform at StageOne

Benevento, a graduate of Boston's Berklee School of Music, plays the piano, organ and keyboard to create a mixture of jam band and disco music. He uses a technique called circuit bending, where he rewires electronic components to make different sounds.
He has toured with Phish musicians Trey Anastasio and Mike Gordon, Grateful Dead drummer Joe Russo, and New York City session musician Wayne Krantz, among others. He has released three albums, the latest being "Between the Needles and Nightfall."
