An interfaith music and prayer service, “The Light for Paris Vigil,” took place Wednesday evening at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in support of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change in Paris.

The event was sponsored by the Fairfield County Interfaith Alliance on Climate Change.

Among those scheduled to participate were Kristen Graves of Fairfield, the Connecticut state troubadour, who was to lead the group in singing, “The Tide is Rising,” a ballad that event organizers say is the anthem of the “climate justice movement.”

The Rev. Stephanie Johnson of St. Paul’s presided at the vigil, with the Rev. Peggy Hodgkins, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church in Southport.
