Doris Morales-Ocasio, 46, and Jose Soto, 45, were both charged Sunday after they fought in Morales-Ocasio’s car while it was parked on Webster Street, police said.

The couple, married but separated, according to police, were arguing over where Morales-Ocasio’s wallet was when the verbal dispute turned physical. Morales-Ocasio allegedly hit Soto in the face and head, and Soto put her in a headlock, police said. While in the headlock, Morales-Ocasio allegedly bit Soto on the arm. She then punched the windshield of the car, cracking it, according to the report.

Soto, who lives on Webster Street, was charged with breach of peace. Morales-Ocasio, who lives on Main Street in Bridgeport, was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace.

Both were released on a promise to appear the next day at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
