Ramon Andrade, of Portchester, N.Y., was arrested for driving under the influence last Friday after police said they found him sleeping behind the wheel of his running car, which was stopped at a red traffic light.

A witness called police around 8 p.m. to report that a man appeared to have passed out behind the wheel at Walls Drive and North Benson Road. The officer arrived and turned off the vehicle's ignition before Andrade awoke. According to the report, he could barely stand and needed help walking.

He was released on a $100 bond and is scheduled to appear Dec. 1 at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
