Cops: Fairfield waitress misused customer's credit card
She was a waitress who really made a customer wait, police said.
Shannon Caruso, 40, of West Haven, a former employee of Cinzano's, 1920 Black Rock Turnpike, allegedly took a customer's credit card just before the holidays last December and made a quick trip to a nearby CVS to purchase a $100 gift card before returning with the plastic, police said Thursday.
An arrest warrant charging sixth-degree larceny, illegal use of a credit card and receiving goods from the illegal use of a credit card was served on Caruso Wednesday at Bridgeport Superior Court. Video surveillance was used to link Caruso to the alleged misuse of the diner's credit card. Her boss made a positive identification for police, said Sgt. Suzanne Lussier, a Fairfield police spokeswoman.
Bond was set at $5,000 and Caruso was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
