Cops: Highly energized man swiped 20 cans of Red Bull

A Bridgeport man is accused of stuffing 20 cans of Red Bull energy drink into his jacket Monday night and leaving the Cumberland Farms convenience store on Kings Highway Cutoff without paying.
Mark Goncalves, 36, of Alice Street in Bridgeport, was charged with sixth-degree larceny. He was held on a $300 bond and is scheduled to appear April 25 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
When officers found Goncalves walking on Kings Highway after leaving the store, they said there with a large bulge in the front of his jacket. The drink cans were found stuffed inside the jacket, according to the report.
Store employees confirmed Goncalves was the man seen taking the $49.80 worth of the energy drink, police said.
