Cops: Man gets 'disorderly' with mother
A 21-year-old Fairfield man was arrested Tuesday night after he allegedly panicked his mother and damaged her car.
Joseph Bresse Jr., of 280 Lenox Road, was charged around 11 p.m. with disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal mischief.
Bresse phoned his mother several times from a Stratfield Road party earlier Tuesday night, apparently intoxicated, police said. When his mother picked him up, he told her not to drive home and began verbally abusing her as she did, police said.
At home, Bresse allegedly tossed aside his mother's overnight bag, which she was packing, and then overturned her mattress. When she tried to escape, he reportedly kicked and punched the side mirrors of her car, causing $350 in damage.
Bresse was released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Wednesday morning, and ordered not to return home beforehand.
