A Knapps Highway resident was arrested on a warrant Monday, charged with burglarizing a neighbor's home in July.

Benjamin Massey, 25, was charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny in connection with the July 15 break-in. The neighbor reported finding a window screen in the kitchen had been torn and two jewelry boxes were missing from a bedroom.

During the investigation, police detectives checked area pawn shops after Massey was charged with burglary in April in an unrelated case. In addition, Massey's mother told police that she saw her son and his girlfriend standing in front of the neighbor's home on the day of the July incident.

Police found that Massey had pawned four pairs of earrings and a pendant on July 16, and four small gold charms on July 25, according to the report.

He is scheduled to appear Oct. 23 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
