Cops: Man violated protective order in harassing 'ex'
A Waterbury man who police said made numerous phone calls and texts to an ex-girlfriend in Fairfield was arrested on a warrant Thursday charged with violation of a protective order and second-degree harassment.
Adis Radonic, 32, of Benefit Street in Waterbury, had been calling and texting his ex-girlfriend in an attempt to persuade her to drop assault charges stemming from an April 7 arrest, police said. At the time of that arrest, the protective order was issued. The woman told police was threatening her and the safety of her family.
According to police, Radonic was involved in two other domestic violence incidents involving the woman in Waterbury and Naugatuck prior to the incident in Fairfield.
He was held on a $10,000 bond and was scheduled to have appeared Friday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
