Cops: Woman lied to avoid detection
A 29-year-old Stratford woman was charged Tuesday with lying to police.
Kiyesha Nicole Lockhart, of 99 McGrath Court, was arrested on a charge of interfering with officers after she allegedly gave them a false name and two false birth dates, reports said.
The incident took place when police were dispatched to investigate a 9-1-1 hang-up call at the Fairfield Motor Inn, 417 Post Road. On arrival, officers were directed to room No. 73, police said. Confronted by police, Lockhart reportedly tried to evade detection.
A subsequent background check indicated Lockhart was wanted for arrest by State Police for a first-degree narcotics charge, with a $7,500 bond, and also by Bridgeport police for a second-degree failure to appear in court charge, with $50 bond.
Held overnight at Fairfield police headquarters in lieu of $7,550, Lockhart was taken Wednesday morning to Bridgeport Superior Court, police said.
