Cops: Woman tried to sneak from store without paying for daughter’s sneakers

Alicia Barajas, 32, of Harvard Street, Bridgeport, was charged with sixth-degee larceny Sunday after police said she tried to steal shoes for her daughter at the Bob’s Store on the Post Road.
According to the report, Barajas allegedly took a $31 pair of pink Nike Flex sneakers, put them on her daughter, and tried to leave the store without paying.
She was released on a promise to appear Aug. 10 at State Superior Court in Bridgeport.
