A Bridgeport couple faces charges after an argument that started on Interstate 95 and spilled onto a local street early Saturday around midnight.
Rosa M. Wilson, 32, was charged with breach of peace and third-degree assault, and her boyfriend, Canady M. Bullock, also 32, was charged with breach of peace. The couple lives on Dogwood Drive in Bridgeport.
According to police, Bullock and Wilson were on the highway when Wilson noticed a text message on Bullock's phone that was from another woman. They began to argue and drove off the highway at Exit 21, police said. Bullock stopped the car on Mill Plain Road and then got out, police said, and pulled Wilson out of the car, according to the report. Wilson then threw Bullock's cell phone at his head, cutting his chin, police said. Both began walking down Mill Plain Road in opposite directions.
The incident was called in by a passerby.
When officers encountered Wilson, they said she asked if her face was bleeding. They told her it wasn't, and asked her what happened. Wilson then allegedly told police that nothing had happened.
Bullock was held on a $5,000 bond and Wilson was held on a $5,250 bond because of an outstanding warrant for failure to appear issued in Trumbull. Both were scheduled to have appeared in court Monday.
