Couple’s loud fight leads to charges
FAIRFIELD — A neighbor called police Sunday night after hearing a heated argument between her Sunrise Avenue neighbors.
When police arrived, Geoffrey Robinson, 50, answered the door. He had several bloody scratches on his face, police said, and an odor of alcohol on his breath.
Robinson said his live-in girlfriend, Tanya Gould, 50, attacked after the pair had gotten into an argument after drinking all day. He said Gould wanted to borrow his car, and he said no.
Gould said Robinson attacked her, hitting her in the face, and the scratches were a result of her trying to defend herself.
Both were charged with disorderly conduct. Gould was released on a promise to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport Monday. Robinson was held on a $1,000 bond and was also given a Monday court date.
