Dairy Queen's Fairfield store, 1902 Post Road, will participate in the company's national Miracle Treat Day to benefit seriously ill and injured children on Thursday, July 26.
For every Blizzard Treat sold at the outlet that day, the store will give $1 to Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, a member of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, a Utah-based international nonprofit organization that raises funds for children's hospitals. It also collects money for medical research and awareness of children's health issues.
A fire truck and other activities will be at the store as well.
Since 1984, Dairy Queen has raised more than $90 million for Children Miracle Network Hospitals, including $5 million in 2011.
