The Fairfield Theatre Company will host a performance by The Devon Allman Band, led by the son of rock musician Gregg Allman, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, at StageOne, 70 Sanford St. Doors open 7 p.m.

Devon Allman, who was raised by his mother in Corpus Christi, Texas, and has lived in St. Louis, since he was 12, did not meet his father until he was 16, according to a news release.

He toured with his father and The Allman Brothers Band in the early 1990s.

In 1999, Devon Allman formed the band Honeytribe, yet stopped touring in 2001 when his son was born. The band reformed in 2005 with its original lineup, toured in the United States, Europe and Canada and recorded the album "Torch" in 2006.

In 2011, Devon Allman formed Royal Southern Brotherhood with bassist Charlie Wooton and drummer Yonrico Scott and released a self-titled album and then another album in 2012 while touring the world.

His first solo album, "Turquoise," was released on Feb. 13.
