Fairfield Theatre Co. will present a performance by dobro (a type of guitar) player Jerry Douglas at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at StageOne, 70 Sanford St. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Douglas has garnered 13 Grammy Awards and been named Musician of the Year by the Country Music Association in 2002, 2005 and 2007, the Academy of Country Music 11 times and the Americana Music Association in 2002 and 2003, according to a release. He has also received many International Bluegrass Music Association awards.

He has been a member of several groups, including Alison Krauss and Union Station, the Country Gentlemen, J.D. Crowe and the New South, Boone Creek, Strength in Numbers and Elvis Costello's Sugarcanes. He has also played on more than 2,000 recordings.

Douglas comes to StageOne in support of his new solo album, "Traveler."
