NORWALK - The family of Jason Bernstein, the Norwalk man killed by a Metro-North train last week, said donations in his memory can be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Bernstein, 25, died on Wednesday, Sept. 11, after being struck by train near Fairfield Metro station.

His death notice described him “a brilliant composer, pianist, artist, filmmaker and actor.”

Services for Bernstein were held Sunday at Temple Sinai, 458 Lakeside Drive in Stamford.

Arrangements were under the direction of Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home in Stamford.
