The TPZ on Tuesday voted to send the special permit application to a public hearing.
In a letter to the TPZ, Vincente and Kleber Siguenza, owners of the restaurant at 55 Miller St., said: "Our intention is to move the bar from one side of the building to the other, and to change the entrance to the front of the building."
Currently customers enter the restaurant through a side door off a shared parking lot, which the owners said can be dangerous.
If the plan is approved, the restaurant would expand about six-and-a-half feet into what is now a patio area, and provide more space to accommodate patrons with disabilities on the lower level.
