Eileen G. Dwyer, 77, of Fairfield, formerly of Pelham Manor and New Rochelle, N.Y., died Sept. 15 at home.

Born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Gallagher, and had been a Fairfield resident since 1983. She was a graduate of Marymount High School and received an undergraduate degree from Rosemont College in Pennsylvania.

Survivors include seven children, Mary Elizabeth Holten of Scarsdale, N.Y., William A. Dwyer III and his wife Christine of Stormville, N.Y., Dr. Daniel P. Dwyer and his wife Patrice of Southern Shores, N.C., Eileen A. Flynn and her husband Kevin of Fairfield, Christopher J. Dwyer and his wife Patra of Westport, Kathleen Meyer and her husband Donan of Fairfield and J. Michael Dwyer of Waccabuc, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren, Kelly, L.B., Timothy, Michael, Meghan, Sean, Shannon, Casey, Brooks, Michaela, D.J. and Mackenzie; a sister, Mary Jane Flynn of Timonium, Md., and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Gallagher and a son-in-law, Lawrence Holten.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, Sept. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m., in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road.
