FD: Person seriously hurt in I-95 accident in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD — A person suffered “life-threatening” injuries Sunday in a crash on Interstate 95 southbound, according to the Fairfield Fire Department.

In a social media post, the department said fire officials responded to a one-vehicle crash near Exit 19 of I-95.

Officials needed “to use hydraulic cutting tools to remove the roof of the vehicle to access the patient,” according to the post.
