Jackie Konstanty and Alyssa Kraus scored goals as Ludlowe and Ridgefield played to a 2-2 tie on October 5 at Tiger Hollow. Lauren Beccaria assisted on both Falcons goals. Allison Wales made eight saves in goal to preserve the tie. Ludlowe improved to 4-3-1 overall. On Oct. 7, the Falcons defeated Joel Barlow 7-0 to improve to 5-3-1 on the season. Lauren Beccaria scored four goals for the winners, with Alyssa Kraus, Melissa Bucher and Katie Valus also scoring. Allison Wales and Grace Ghee shared goaltending duties and combined to make one save. On Monday, the Falcons defeated McMahon 4-0 on two goals from Melissa Bucher and single scores from Lauren Beccaria and Jackie Konstanty. Allison Wales and Grace Ghee combined in goal to make two saves. Ludlowe is now 6-3-1.
Warde lost a 2-1 decision to Trumbull on Monday, dropping the Mustangs to 3-7. Lilly Cherniske scored the goal for Warde. Sophoa Guerrera made three saves in goal.
Notre Dame-Fairfield (7-5) lost in four sets to New Milford on Oct. 4. Scores were: 25-23, 25-27, 22-25, 12-25. Zuqulia Mbachiantim had eight kills and three aces, Liv Ceballos had three aces and three kills and Olivia Ramos had 15 digs. On Oct. 6, the Lancers lost to Masuk in four sets. Scores were: 21-25, 27-25, 11-25, 19-25.
Ludlowe defeated Trinity Catholic in straight sets to post its second win over the season. Jessica Takami had three aces, 11 service points and 21 digs, Kylie Lawlor had seven assists, two digs and an ace and Jackie Soderlund had six blocks and two kills. On Oct. 6, the Falcons lost to New Canaan in straight sets. Scores were: 18-25, 24-26, 25-27. Kate Steesma had six aces, nine kills and four digs. Jo Blanco had 13 kills and two digs and Jackie Sodrerlund had three blocks and three kills.
Warde (6-5) fell to Danbury in four sets on Oct. 6. Scores were: 9-25, 25-17, 21-25, 19-25. Libby McKenna had 17 digs, nine kills and four service points, Olivia Parisi had 10 kills, five blocks and two service points and Maura McNeil has six digs and eight service points.
Ludlowe defeated Central 6-0 on October 4. Kara Sangiuolo scored two goals and Caroline Sullivan, Camryn Faris, Kelsey Brown and Emily Cheung also scored for the Falcons. Jordan Tibball and two assists and Michaela Fleming, Bridget O’Leary, Kaleigh Brown and McKenna Forrest had assists. Maddie Herron made five saves in goal for the shutout.
Warde lost a close 3-2 match to Darien on October 4. Avery Oracheff and Teresa Andres scored for the Mustangs, who fell to 6-3 on the season.
Notre Dame-Fairfield won its third straight game on October 4, defeating New Fairfield 5-0. Toni Domingos and Daryn Dickson scored two goals for the Lancers and Olivia Carreiro rounded out the scoring, Carriero had two assists and Domingos and Dickson added one. Samantha Camacho made five saves in goal for the Lancers (5-2-3).
On Tuesday, ND blanked Bunnell 5-0 to improve to 7-2-3. Toni Domingos scored three goals for the winners, along with Daryn Dickson and Katarzyna Zawadzki. Dickson had two assists and Domingos and Annie Deal had assists. Samantha Camacho had six saves in goal for the Lancers.
Ludlowe defeated New Canaan 3-1 on October 3. Jacob Deck scored twice for the Falcons and Nate Ulman also scored. Ulman added an assist, as did Mark Morataya. On October 3, the Falcons and Central played to a 0-0 tie, Ludlowe is now 5-1-3 on the season.
On Tuesday, Ludlowe defeated Westhill 4-0, thanks to two goals from Kristo Boci. Chris Jerrild and Nocholas Rului also scored. Boci, Connor Senecal, Calum Crawford and Max Golding had assists. Cameron Peele and Max Pfleghar combined in goal to make four saves.
Notre Dame-Fairfield lost to Bunnell 3-0 on Tuesday, dropping the Lancers to 3-8-1 on the season.
