Fairfield Library to hold health lecture
The Fairfield Public Library Health Matters Series will hold a talk by licensed naturopathic physician Veronica Waks on "Your Optimal Health Plan" 7 p.m. Thursday, April 5, in the Rotary Room of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.
Waks will discuss setting goals, obtaining information and support and implementing personal health plans, according to a library news release.
Waks, a physician at the Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center in Fairfield, graduated from the University of Bridgeport's College of Naturopathic Medicine. Prior to earning her doctorate in naturopathic medicine, she received her medical degree from Russia's Vladivostok Medical University and practiced internal medicine and family medicine. Upon arriving in the United States, she passed the United States medical license exams and obtained a United States foreign medical certificate, the release states.
