Fairfield Ludlowe will send a pair of athletes to Fordham University in the fall.

Ludlowe's senior captain in soccer in 2009, Casper Gimand, and football running back Kyle Finnegan will each become Rams in the fall of 2010.

Finnegan was the Falcons' top rusher in 2009, as well as a captain for the Ludlowe football team. He said of furthering his career at Fordham "It has always been my dream to play college football and Fordham could not have been a better fit. I have been blessed with the chance to continue playing the sport that I love."

Gimand will study business at Fordham and was also excited to continue his soccer career there.

"I am very excited to join the team in August and be part of a successful season," he said.

Ludlowe's athletic director, Dave Schulz, is excited to see both kids go to Fordham and is looking forward to the opportunity of watching both Gimand and Finnegan grow as athletes and individuals.

"It is great to have two of our athletes continuing their education and athletic careers at Fordham University where we will be able to follow their progress and see them play," he said. "We wish both of them the best of luck."
