Fairfield U. student faces on-campus drug charges
A Fairfield University student is facing drug charges.
Police said they were contacted Tuesday evening by security officers at the college to check a report regarding drugs in a dormitory room in Gonzaga Hall.
Ryan Sabedra, 18, of Mahwah, N.J., was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school and failure to keep narcotics in their original container.
According to the report, marijuana, a pill bottle, several scales, empty sandwich bags and sandwich bags containing marijuana were found in the room.
He was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear May 1 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
