Teams of high school students will gather at Fairfield University's Dolan School of Business March 25 for Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut's first High School Business Challenge.

Four-member teams will make business-related decisions and compete for scholarships. The competition will run from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Area businesses are sponsoring the challenge.

The teams will spend the day using Junior Achievement's Titan interactive simulation program to make key business decisions while managing and operating their own virtual company.

The "companies" are challenged to outperform competitors in profit, sales and market share.Throughout the day, students can learn from business executives in attendance. The day concludes with an awards ceremony including prizes donated by local businesses.

Members of the first and second place teams will receive scholarships.

Teams at the event will represent schools from the Greater Bridgeport area, Greater Danbury and the Naugatuck Valley.
