The author of a new book focused on Bridgeport politics, "Political Corruption in Bridgeport: Scandal in the Park City," will appear Saturday, June 21 at the Fairfield University Downtown Bookstore. Rob Sullivan will meet and greet customers and sign copies of his new release from noon to 3 p.m.

The book chronicles political history in Bridgeport including stories behind some of the city's most contentious elections, like the alleged ballot stuffing that ended the 24-year era of socialist mayor Jasper McLevy, or the power politics and threats that landed John Mandanici in office.

The book, published by the History Press, will be available at the bookstore, 1499 Post Road. For more information, call 203-255-7756.
