A Fairfield cardiologist has been named “Physician of the Year” for 2015 by St. Vincent’s Health Services in Bridgeport.

Dr. Jared Selter was nominated for the citation because of “his dedication and compassion when caring for his patients,” according to the announcement of his award. “He goes above and beyond, spending an extraordinary amount of time caring for vulnerable patients at the St. Vincent's Family Health Clinic.”

After receiving his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Selter completed an internship and residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at that hospital.

Selter is board certified in interventional and nuclear cardiology. He has offices in Fairfield and Trumbull.
