Today is expected to be sunny and warm, but the weekend in southwestern Connecticut is not expected to be as nice.

The National Weather Service says Friday's skies will be clear and the daytime high temperature is expected to be about 63 degrees.

Tonight, however, there is a chance of showers as clouds move in and the temperature falls to about 49 degrees.

Tomorrow, more showers are possible, and there is the threat of thunderstorms after 1 p.m. The day will be mostly cloudy with a high temperature of about 61 degrees. Showers are also in the forecast for tomorrow night and the low temperature should be around 48.

On Sunday, there could be more showers, probably after noontime. The high temperature should be in the mid-60s.

Monday looks promising, according to the weather service, with sunny skies and temperatures in 60s.
