Fairfield forecast: A sunny prelude to spring
Today is expected to be another sunny and warm day in southwestern Connecticut.
The daytime high temperature is expected to rise to the upper-60s, with a south wind between 5 and 8 mph.
Tonight should be mostly cloudy, with patches of fog, as the temperature falls to a low of in the low-40s.
There could be foggy conditions tomorrow morning before 9 a.m., before skies on the first official day of spring clear to partly sunny conditions and the temperature rises to about 60 degrees. Nighttime should be cloudy and a low in the upper-40-degree range.
Wednesday is expected to be partly sunny with a high temperature in the mid-60s. The temperature under partly cloudy nighttime skies will fall to the low-50s, the NWS says.
Thursday should be mostly sunny and even warmer, with a high temperature of at least 70 degrees.
The outlook for Friday, according to the weather service, is for sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-60s.
