There's a wet outlook for most of this week in southwestern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.

The threat of showers today arrives this afternoon, with a possibility of thunderstorms as well. Under cloudy skies, the daytime high is expected to be about 58 degrees.

Showers and thunderstorms are still possible tonight, mainly before midnight. Overnight there also will be patchy fog and the nighttime low temperature is expected to be about 50 degrees.

Tomorrow will get off to a foggy start, according to the NWS, but then the day becomes partly sunny, with a high near 69 degrees. There will be a south wind between 8 and 15 mph. But tomorrow night, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Skies become cloudy, with a low around 55.

On Wednesday, showers and thunderstorms are again possible, mainly after noon. The skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 60 degrees.

There's more rain in the forecast for Thursday, and the weather service is not predicting a break in this cycle of precipitation until Friday.
