Early-morning clouds and patchy fog today are expected to clear later as temperatures rise to the relatively balmy upper-50s in southwestern Connecticut.

The National Weather Service says there also will be a northwest wind 5 to 7 mph.

Tonight, patchy fog will settle in parts of the region, as the temperature dips to a low in the low-40s.

Tomorrow, after early fog, skies are expected to remain mostly cloudy, with a high temperature near 60 degrees. There is a chance of showers overnight tomorrow, with a low temperature in the upper-40s. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent, according to the NWS.

On Wednesday, there is a chance of showers before noon. Otherwise, the day should be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-50s. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-30s.

Thursday should be sunny, but cooler, with a high temperature in the mid-40s. Skies will turn partly cloudy by night, with a low temperature about 30 degrees.

The outlook for Friday, according to the weather service, is partly sunny and temperatures in the upper-40s.
