Fairfield forecast: Clearing but cold

The skies should clear today across southwestern Connecticut, but temperatures will rise only to the mid-40s, according to the National Weather Service.
Besides the sunny conditions, there will be a northwest wind 6 to 10 mph.
Tonight will be mostly clear, with the temperature dipping to a low in the mid-20s and a northwest wind 8 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Tomorrow, clouds will increase as the temperature rises to a high in the mid-40s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature about 30 degrees.
Friday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-40s. Friday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature about 30 degrees.
On Saturday, skies should be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature in the mid-40s. Cloudy conditions will prevail Saturday night with a low temperature in the upper-30s, the NWS says.
Sunday also will be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature in the low-50s. Nighttime brings a chance of showers as temperatures dip to the low-40s. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
The outlook for Monday, according to the weather service, is partly sunny and temperatures about 50 degrees.
