After the scattered thunderstorms of yesterday evening, skies across southwestern Connecticut have cleared and a sunny, warm day is on tap.

The National Weather Service says the daytime high temperature will be about 83 degrees, with a northwest wind around 10 mph.

Tonight should be partly cloudy, with a low around 67 degrees.

Tomorrow is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 84 degrees and a north wind 5 to 9 mph becoming south. Overnight, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after midnight, as clouds move in and the temperature dips to a low of around 70 degrees.

On Friday, there remains a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 87 degrees.

Saturday, however, is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 84 degrees, the weather service predicts.
