Fairfield forecast: Cool, cloudy start to Father's Day

Father's Day starts on a cool and cloudy note, but the morning gloom is expected to gradually clear, according to the National Weather Service.
As skies become partly sunny this afternoon, the daytime high temperature should rise to the upper-60s, with an east wind around 8 mph.
Tonight, clouds return and the temperature will dip to the mid-50s, with a south wind between 3 and 9 mph.
Tomorrow morning will also be cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny and temperatures will rise to the low-70s. Nighttime will be mostly cloudy and temperatures will decline to the low-60s, the NWS says.
Tuesday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a high temperature in the upper-70s. Tuesday night will be cloudy with a low temperature in the upper-60s.
The outlook for Wednesday, the weather service says, may be one of the hottest days of the year so far, with a high temperature of about 90 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
