Fairfield forecast: Heat wave rolling in

That pretty much sums up the forecast for southwestern Connecticut all week, according to the National Weather Service.
Skies today will be sunny, with the daytime high temperature rising to the mid-90s and a northwest wind 5 to 9 mph.
Tonight will be mostly clear, with the temperature dipping to a low of about 70 degrees and a north wind around 5 mph.
Tomorrow also will be sunny and hot, with a high temperature in the mid-90s. Nighttime should be clear with a low temperature about 70 degrees.
On Wednesday, it will be sunny again, with a high temperature in the low-90s. It will be clear at night with a low temperature in the mid-70s.
Thursday will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-90s. Thursday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around temperature in the mid-70s.
Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-90s. Skies will be partly cloudy with a low temperature in the mid-70s.
The outlook for Saturday, according to the weather service, is for a chance of showers and temperatures in the upper-90s.
