Fairfield forecast: More clouds, more rain

Rain and gray skies are once again in the gloomy forecast today for southwestern Connecticut.
The National Weather Service says precipitation is likely, mostly before 4 p.m., as the temperature rises to a daytime high of about 60 degrees. There will be a northeast wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent, according to the NWS.
Tonight should be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, as the temperature dips to the low-40s. Wind will be from the northwest 9 to 13 mph.
Tomorrow should break the rainy cycle, the NWS says, as sunny conditions prevail with a high temperature about 60 degrees. There will be a west wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Tomorrow night, however, will see cloudiness return and a low temperature in the mid-40s.
On Friday, there is a slight chance of showers after noon. Otherwise, skies should be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-60s. Nighttime will be mostly clear, but the temperature will dip to the upper-30s.
Saturday should be sunny, with a high temperature in the upper-50s. Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a low temperature in the upper-40s.
The outlook for Sunday, according to the weather service, is mostly cloudy and a high temperature in the upper-60s.
