Fairfield forecast: Showers ending, skies clearing

Early-morning showers and cloudy skies today are expected to gradually clear away, according to the National Weather Service.
As the sun begins to shine across southwestern Connecticut by midday, the temperature is expected to rise to a high near 70 degrees. There will be a north wind 6 to 9 mph, later increasing to between 14 and 17 mph.
Tonight will be partly cloudy and the temperature will dip to a low in the mid-40s.
Tomorrow is expected to be sunny, with a high temperature near 70 degrees. Nighttime will be clear with a northwest wind between 9 and 13 mph, the NWS says.
Saturday should be sunny and the temperature is expected to rise into the low-70s. Saturday night will be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the mid-50s.
The outlook for Sunday, the weather service says, is for a chance of showers after noon and a high temperature about 70 degrees.
