Rain that fell yesterday also may sputter throughout today before easing this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Periods of drizzle are possible across southwestern Connecticut until about 4 p.m., with a daytime high temperature about 46 degrees. There will be a north wind between 10 and 13 mph.

Tonight, clouds will gradually clear as the temperature falls to a low of about 40 degrees.

Sunny skies should prevail tomorrow, with a high near 46 degrees. Nighttime skies will also be clear and the low temperature will be in the low-30s, the NWS says.

The outlook for the weekend is fairly bright.

Saturday should be sunny, with a high near 51 degrees.

And Sunday also is expected to sunny and somewhat warmer, the weather service predicts, with a high temperature in the upper-50s.
