Updated 6:44 am, Thursday, March 1, 2012
Light rain early this morning is expected to taper off, according to the National Weather Service, but clouds are likely to prevail for the rest of the day.
The daytime high temperature is expected to rise to the mid-40s in southwestern Connecticut, with a north wind between 8 and 14 mph.
Tonight, there is a slight chance of rain before 9 p.m. Conditions will remain cloudy, as the temperature falls to a low in the mid-20s.
Tomorrow is expected to be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-40s. Rain is likely tomorrow night, with the possibility of a thunderstorm overnight. As the low temperature is relatively moderate 40 degrees, patchy fog is likely throughout the region.
On Saturday, occasional showers -- and possible thunderstorms -- are likely before noon, as the temperature rises to a high in the mid-50s. Periodic showers are also possible during the afternoon. Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature around 36 degrees.
The outlook for Sunday, the weather service predicts, is for partly sunny skies and a high temperature in the upper-40s.
