Another storm-free weather forecast is in store today for southwestern Connecticut.

The National Weather Service predicts the next several days will be sunny, and gradually warming from the deep freeze into the low-40s.

Today, according to the NWS, the daytime high temperatures only as high as 26 degrees. There will be a northwest wind between 8 and 14 mph. The temperature tonight is expected to fall to around 16.

Tomorrow should be mostly sunny, with a high near 29. Nighttime will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 25.

Skies on Saturday should be partly sunny, with a high near 38. There will be a west wind between 7 and 17 mph.

Sunday, according to the NWS, will be mostly cloudy and breezy, with a daytime high near 39.

And Monday will also be sunny and breezy, with a high near 41.
