Fairfield forecast: Summer winding down on a nice note
Today, as well as one of the last weekends of summer, should prove a pleasant send-off for the season in southwestern Connecticut.
Skies will be sunny today, according to the National Weather Service, as the temperature rises to a high in the mid-80s with a north wind 6 to 15 mph.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-50s and a northeast wind 3 to 6 mph.
Tomorrow also will be sunny, with a high temperature in the upper-70s. Nighttime will be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the mid-50s.
Sunday also will be sunny, with a high temperature of about 80 degrees. Night skies will become partly cloudy, with a low temperature about 60 degrees.
Monday should be sunny, with a high temperature in the low-80s. Clouds move in Monday night, bringing a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms as the temperature dips to the low-60s.
The outlook for Tuesday, according to the weather service, is partly sunny, slight chance of precipitation and temperatures in the 80s.
